We also provide specialist, independent legal analysis of human rights and discrimination issues to a wide range of groups, including governments, parliaments and the courts.
The Commission has a responsibility to review existing and proposed legislation, prepare submissions and inquire into complaints of alleged breaches of human rights.
We also appear in court to make submissions on matters that deal with human rights or discrimination issues.
This work is undertaken by the Legal Section within the Commission.
