Executive and Research Assistant to the Disability and Race Discrimination Commissioner

The Assistant primarily works to the Disability and Race Discrimination Commissioner in providing executive and administrative support and will also provide general administrative and research assistance to the Disability Discrimination Unit and Race Team.

Director Communications

The Director Communications is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the Commission's internal and external communications strategies and activities and will collaborate with Commission managers on community engagement programs. This includes providing high level advice to the Commission, President and Commissioners on effective internal and external communications strategies, media and issues management, intranet and web content, marketing and the use of new and emerging technologies.

Human Resources Policy and Project Officer

The Human Resources Policy and Project Officer is responsible for assisting the Personnel Manager in the development and implementation of a broad range of strategic and operational human resource policies and projects for the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC).  This includes providing advice on policy development, procedure writing, developing duty statements and provision of advice to managers and staff consistent with HR best practice. 

This is a full time non-ongoing (temporary) position for 12 months with a possibility of ongoing (permanent) employment arising during this time. Further information in relation to this position can be obtained from Ms Tricia Smith on 02 9284 9600.
