MEDIA ALERT : PUBLIC HEARING: CHILDREN IN IMMIGRATION DETENTION

The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission's National Inquiry into Children in Immigration Detention will hold a four-day public hearing in Sydney next week.
When: Monday 2 December 2002 - Thursday 5 December 2002 9am - 5pm
Where: Ballroom 3, Ground floor, Four Points Sheraton, 161 Sussex Street, Sydney
Purpose: To hear evidence from the Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) and Australasian Correctional Management (ACM) about children in immigration detention centres and the impact of detention on children.
