Lodging Your Complaint Online
Please complete the form below to submit your complaint.
You must provide the Australian Human Rights Commission with your name and a postal address for correspondence, as well as a phone number if possible. We can not accept your complaint without this information.
You must also complete the ‘complaint details’ section of the online form.
The Commission will send you a letter to acknowledge that we have received your complaint. If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your complaint within seven (7) days, you can send us an email or call us on 1300 656 419 or 02 9284 9888.
Within a few weeks of receiving your complaint an Investigation / Conciliation Officer will be allocated to look into your complaint. The officer will contact you to discuss how the matter will proceed.
Although we accept complaints by email and using the online form, all further communication is generally done in writing or by phone. Please let us know if you have a particular requirement for information to be provided in an electronic format. If you would like an acknowledgement of your complaint to be sent by email please include an email address.

The information you provide in
this complaint form may be used by the Commission to investigate your complaint. If we
begin a formal investigation into the matter we will provide a copy of your
complaint (excluding your personal contact details) to the person about whom you
are complaining.
