Stolen by Jane Harrison was first produced by Ilbijerri Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Theatre Co-operative and Playbox Theatre Centre, in association with the Melbourne Festival (21 October 1998).
The Human Rights and Equal opportunity Commission has developed this set of activities focusing on Stolen to provide teachers with an additional approach for exploring the separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families from a more personal perspective. These activities use performance techniques and textual analysis to assist students to explore the text and can be used in the classroom, or as part of the rehearsal process for actual performance.
