Check out the list of celebrations and anniveraries below. You can visit the links provided to find out more.

Perhaps you would like to celebrate a human rights date in your school or community. You could:

  • invite a speaker to come to your classroom
  • hold a cultural day and celebrate diversity in our society or
  • create an award to celebrate the achievements of someone who has been a champion of human rights in your local community.

Alternatively, why not brainstorm with your friends or classmates to come up with an event of your own.

The Commission would like to hear how you are celebrating human rights. Email: education@humanrights.gov.au to let us know.
