The HREOC Legal Section presented a forum entitled ‘All under Control? Recent issues in Australia’s legal response to terrorism?’

The Forum featured a distinguished panel of three speakers:

  1. The Hon. Philip Ruddock MP, Federal Attorney General
  2. The Hon. John von Doussa QC, President of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission.
  3. Professor George Williams Director, Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law, UNSW

The forum was chaired by Mr Jonathon Huynor, Deputy Director of Legal Services and Legislative Advice, HREOC.
