Welcome to the virtual launch of my Plan of Action Towards Gender Equality and the Listening Tour Community Report.
I recently undertook a nation-wide Listening Tour. I travelled to every state and territory, visiting capital cities, regional centres and remote towns. I personally met over 1000 women and men from all walks of life.
Many of you shared your stories and ideas through this website and thousands more followed my journey through the Listening Tour diary. It was a great privilege to hear the views of so many people. Thank you for your contributions.
Now it is my turn to report to you. On this webpage you will find the Listening Tour Community Report which sets out the major issues shared with me during the Listening Tour.
The findings of the Listening Tour have shaped my agenda. On this webpage you will also find my Plan of Action Towards Gender Equality. It provides a summary of the issues I will focus on in the next few years. These are the issues which I understand would make a significant impact on creating a fairer and more equal future.
I welcome your feedback and hope you will join me in creating a better future for Australia.
