Title: Forty-two days

Forty-two days by Belinda Mason. Portrait of elderly man

Comments:

The community nurse has to come and help me with my bowels, in the past I felt disgraced by this and in my youth, shocked at the though of someone having to care for me this way. Now I don't care anymore, it just doesn't bother me any more. I am not afraid of death as it will effect others more than me. I don't believe in heaven or hell. - John Trinda.

John died 42 days after this image was taken. Awareness of the colour and the richness of the aged in our community enriches our own lives.
