Hi,

I would like to respond to the notice of an application for temporary exemption by Regional Express (Rex) Airlines.


As a person with a mobility disability who uses a wheelchair and who likes to be able to travel by plane from time to time (independently) I would like to inform Rex Airlines that if they provided a small number of aircraft seats which had a removable armrests on the aisle side of the seats, disabled passengers would be able to get themselves onto the aircraft seat and back into the aisle chair at the end of the trip. It would also be assumed that the aisle chair provided by the airline would have removable armrests in order to allow for the passengers to transfer from one chair to another.

 

These are very simple solutions which would be in everyone’s best interest.
