I always knew I was going to be a performer. When I sing a song I like being able to feel the emotion. Finding friendships with other people who love performing has been a highlight for me. That’s what I’ve loved about being part of Hot Tutti; singing, working and spending time with four other woman who love music.

The reaction of the audience is my favourite part. Just to see what they’re feeling. “Ok, she’s crying.” Why is she crying? Am I doing something that makes her cry? I also really enjoy the applause. It means people have really been listening and watching. I love that feeling of “Ok, I’m on stage. This is my moment to shine! This is my moment to be me.”

I’ve got an intellectual disability. Some people really don’t get as far as I have. I’ve been able to travel. I’ve been to America twice! I’ve got an amazing life. Got everything I always wanted. My own house. And I’m living with people I like, even love because one of them has been my best friend since childhood.  It’s great.

My dream is to be able to go and educate more people without a disability. To talk about how we can make a difference in this world that we live in right now. And to educate people without a disability. To maybe work, or to be able to be with someone without a disability. ‘Cause what’s normal anyway. We’re just normal people so, it shouldn’t matter whether we have or haven’t got a disability. What matters is what we give and, we try to educate people. All the time.

I want to be able to teach my own kids, if I have kids. If I find the right man. I want to be able to see my children do what I do, maybe be painters or artists, or singing. That’s what I’d like. In 10 years from now. Be a mum.
