On 12 September 2018, the Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins released the 4th national workplace sexual harassment survey.

The results of the survey will be used to inform the next stage of the National Inquiry into Workplace Sexual Harassment – a round of public consultations in all capital cities and several regional centres across Australia. Speaking with people, employers, unions and experts around Australia will further develop our understanding of workplace sexual harassment, its causes, impacts and best practice responses.

National consultations begin in Hobart on Wednesday 26 September.

Public consultations are open to anyone who would like to contribute to the national conversation on this issue, and are an opportunity for the National Inquiry team to hear from individuals and organisations about their views, experiences and suggestions for change.

The Commission’s public consultation in Hobart is from 6:00pm – 7:30pm on Wednesday 26 September 2018 at South Hobart Living Arts Centre.

The National Inquiry into sexual harassment in Australian workplaces is currently accepting submissions. The submission process provides employees, employers, academics and all members of the public an opportunity to help develop solutions to the problem of workplace sexual harassment.
