Cultural Diversity in the Workplace

Do you support cultural diversity in the workplace?  We are looking for good practice!

The Australian Human Rights Commission, Diversity Council of Australia and the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) invite organisations that recognise the benefits of a culturally diverse workforce to submit examples of their practical initiatives to support workplace cultural diversity.

This is an opportunity to showcase the good work you do to others in the field.  We are interested in initiatives that contribute to the inclusion of people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in the workplace, such as:

                 • strategies, policies or plans,
                 • training or professional development programs,
                 • communication activities,
                 • recruitment and selection processes or
                 • mentoring initiatives.

Your initiative may be featured in an online workplace cultural diversity audit tool to be released later in 2014 which will help Australian organisations improve their practices towards fostering cultural diversity, and may also be used to promote the tool.

You can submit example/s of your initiative/s by completing the short survey here (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/culturaldiversitygoodpractice)

While we would like to acknowledge your organisation’s leadership, the information you provide may be published anonymously if you wish.
