Dear Melita,

My husband and I would love to come and share our views. However, we both are working full time and are unable to attend. We are in the minority of couples who employ a nanny to care for our 2 small people. There are no rebates for her income. I think her wage should be tax deductible.

My husband effectively spends most of his income to pay for her.

I think that there is an injustice in that we are working hard when parents get child care rebates for day care.
